Process for hiring a teacher, including the required documents, past experience verification, and discussing the pay package:
- Job Posting and Application Submission:
• Post the job opening for the teaching position, specifying the requirements, qualifications, and responsibilities.
• Invite interested candidates to submit their applications, which should include a resume/CV, cover letter, and any other relevant documents (such as teaching certifications or diplomas). - Initial Screening:
• Review the submitted applications to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications and requirements outlined in the job posting.
• Shortlist candidates whose qualifications and experiences align with the needs of the position. - Interviews:
• Conduct interviews with the shortlisted candidates to assess their suitability for the position.
• Ask questions to gauge their teaching experience, methodologies, classroom management skills, and their alignment with the school’s values and educational philosophy.
• Different stage: online and offline. - Document Verification:
• Once a candidate is selected for the position, verify their documents to ensure authenticity.
• Required documents may include:
• Educational certificates (e.g., degree/diploma in education or relevant subject)
• Teaching certifications/licenses
• Previous employment records or reference letters
• Identification documents (e.g., passport or national ID)
• Payslip / Bank Statement last 3 month and Appointment latter. - Background Check:
• Conduct a background check to verify the candidate’s criminal record and any other relevant information. - Offer Letter and Negotiation:
• Issue an offer letter to the selected candidate, outlining the terms and conditions of employment.
• Include details such as job title, start date, salary, benefits, and any other relevant information.
• Negotiate the pay package based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the school’s budget constraints. - Contract Signing:
• Once the offer is accepted, arrange for the candidate to sign the employment contract.
• Ensure the contract includes all agreed-upon terms, including salary, working hours, leave entitlements, and any other applicable policies. - Onboarding and Orientation:
• Provide the new teacher with an orientation to familiarize them with the school’s policies, procedures, and facilities.
• Introduce them to key staff members and provide any necessary training or resources to support their transition into the role. - Probation Period:
• Establish a probationary period during which the teacher’s performance will be evaluated.
• Provide regular feedback and support to help them succeed in their new role. - Regular Performance Reviews:
• Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the teacher’s progress and address any concerns or areas for improvement.
